Job Description
Cornerstone Co-op invites applicants for the position of Delivery Driver to join our team on a full-time basis at our Wainwright Home Centre. You will report to the Yard Supervisor.
What you’ll do
- Safely deliver Home Centre products to customers while providing friendly and professional service.
- Operate delivery vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly. Follow all company policies, procedures, and National Safety Code regulations.
- Complete required vehicle inspections, documentation, and reports to ensure vehicles and equipment remain safe and compliant.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload merchandise. Take care to prevent damage to products, property, and vehicles.
- Assist customers with the placement of deliveries when required. Follow safe lifting and material-handling practices.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained. Report any concerns or maintenance needs promptly.
- Keep accurate driver reports and ensure bills for accounts and deliveries to all locations are accurate.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory checks.
- Participate in team safety meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
