Delivery Driver Job in Canada: Cornerstone Co-op is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver at the Wainwright Home Centre. The driver will safely deliver products to customers, load and unload merchandise, maintain the delivery vehicle, and complete required reports. Applicants need a valid Class 3 driver’s license with airbrakes, a satisfactory 5-year Commercial driver’s abstract, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Job Description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applicants for the position of Delivery Driver to join our team on a full-time basis at our Wainwright Home Centre. You will report to the Yard Supervisor.

What you’ll do

  • Safely deliver Home Centre products to customers while providing friendly and professional service.
  • Operate delivery vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly. Follow all company policies, procedures, and National Safety Code regulations.
  • Complete required vehicle inspections, documentation, and reports to ensure vehicles and equipment remain safe and compliant.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload merchandise. Take care to prevent damage to products, property, and vehicles.
  • Assist customers with the placement of deliveries when required. Follow safe lifting and material-handling practices.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained. Report any concerns or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Keep accurate driver reports and ensure bills for accounts and deliveries to all locations are accurate.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory checks.
  • Participate in team safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are

  • You have a valid Class 3 driver’s license with airbrakes and can provide a satisfactory 5-year Commercial driver’s abstract.
  • You can successfully complete a required pre-employment substance test.
  • You can balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • You are physically able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull, and carry items up to 80 lbs.
  • You have knowledge of Home Centre products.
  • You have effective team leadership skills and can work well within a multigenerational, highly motivated team.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and working together to deliver solutions that matter most. You also recognize the value that different perspectives bring to shared objectives.
